Island of Halki (Chalki), Greece - villa Praxithea Villa Aristea

 

This unique two storey villa is located on the sea front of the tiny, tranquil fishermen's island of Chalki, just a few miles from the coast of the island of Rhodes. It is a hundred years old "neoclassical style" noble house which was restored in the year 2000 and equipped with all the modern facilities for a pleasant and relaxing vacation.

So close to the water, you can fish from the veranda. A morning swim in front of the villa, instead of a morning shower, makes your day! The villa is surrounded by traditional "island-style" houses, scattered around a picturesque harbour of the island, called Nimborio. The clarity of the water around Chalki is astounding, a place that the snorkellers will adore.

The villa is beautifully restored with wooden floors and high ceilings, elegantly and traditionally furnished, with windows reflecting the changing light of sea and sky. You can have your evening drinks on the balcony watching the sky change colour and the big boat arriving.

The villa is divided in two separately apartments.

Ground Floor Apartment (153 sq.m): It can accommodate up to 8 persons and it is consisted of 3 compartments: a) three bedrooms ( two with double bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom connected by a spacious hall, b) big living room (23 sq. meters) which includes the kitchen, c) separate bedroom with double bed, and WC.

Upper Floor Apartment (107 sq.m) : It can accommodate up to 6 persons and it is consisted of 3 bedrooms ( one with double bed and two with two single beds each), a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen in it.

All furniture and appliances are brand new and of modern technology. Cleaning services are provided once a week. Sheets and towels are changed twice a week. Both apartments have fully equipped kitchens where you are welcome to try your hand at - why not Greek? - home cooking !
