Mickael Patros, Mayor of Halki, gave an interview at Rodiaki newspaper, stating that the summer of 2011 was very good for the tourism of the island. Only in August there was an increase of 10000 visitors in comparison with last year. Most of them came from Russia which has become very important market for Greece in general. It is obvious that he he is referring to daily visitors. It was only in May that less people than last year visited Halki. Everybody who loves peace and calm, now knows when is the best period to come!
